Our design for a ‘healthy house’ in the Chilterns has been featured in the Architects Journal.
Belsize Architects have secured planning consent for a new house in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The house, Monkey Lodge, sits in the Hambleden valley, not far from the village, well known for its beautiful vernacular architecture.
The magnificent views across the valley in three directions are what make the site. The existing house was not of particular value so Belsize Architects have designed a new house to replace it, oriented to exploit the views as well as to reflect local barn architecture and use local materials.
